Ubuntu in VPS Servers
We supply Ubuntu with all our VPS hosting plans and based on what system requirements your web applications have, you can select the 32-bit or the 64-bit edition of the OS with only a few mouse clicks during the order process. If you obtain your server devoid of website hosting Control Panel, the only software which will be set up on top of Ubuntu will be the Apache web server software, which means that you'll be able to use a console in order to access the server and to build a software environment of your liking. When you obtain your server with our Hepsia website hosting Control Panel, you will have a world wide web interface with which you are able to control almost everything as easily as you manage a regular shared account and all the required MySQL, FTP and email server software are pre-installed, but the root access to the server will be limited. In case you don't have a lot of experience, or in case you do not want to waste time on VPS supervision procedures, you can reap the benefits of our Managed Services upgrade, which features regular Ubuntu Operating System updates.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
Ubuntu is among the Operating System options which you'll find on our order page in case you decide to obtain one of our dedicated web hosting plans. We will set up the 32-bit or the 64-bit release, to satisfy the system requirements of the applications that you'd like to install on the server. You may also select the software which will run on your machine, since we will set up only the Apache web server software, so the rest can be custom-made software that you choose. You will be able to install the latter without any problems using a Secure Shell console, as you'll get root-level access and you'll get full control over your server. You can install a hosting Control Panel too and control some things through a graphical interface, as long as it can work on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things simpler for you, we also offer a Managed Services upgrade, which, among other things, features Operating System updates.
