It is called SpamAssassin and is included with each shared hosting package, so if you host your domain names with our company, you can pick one of the 5 levels of safety that the filter offers for any mailbox that you have here. You can do this with only 2 clicks of the mouse from the Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel that’s used to manage all cloud web hosting accounts. SpamAssassin ‘scans’ the header section and the content of every email message, gives it a spam score and then continues according to the level that you’ve chosen. Each mailbox can have a different level and you can select whether the email messages that the anti-spam filter considers as spam should be erased or re-sent to a different mailbox where you can examine them at a later time, so as to prevent erasing a legitimate email. Changing the level or disabling the anti-spam protection is also very easy.
Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you take advantage of one of our semi-dedicated plans, you won’t have to worry about junk emails filling up your mailboxes every once in a while, as you can take advantage of the popular SpamAssassin anti-spam filter that we provide with each and every semi-dedicated account. Our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel will permit you to activate the filter for any email account with a few clicks of the mouse and you can select any of the five security levels – from very low to very high. The level can be altered at any moment if, for example, genuine emails get filtered, or if unsolicited bulk messages go through and reach your Inbox folder. To be on the safe side, you can choose all filtered email messages to be forwarded to a special mailbox like firstname.lastname@example.org and not to be erased. Thus, you can check them every now and then to ensure that you haven’t omitted a legitimate message.
