Setting up a password-protected area will take no more than a few clicks and a few seconds if you host your websites inside a shared web hosting account with our company. You shall not need to do anything challenging - you will have to choose a domain/subdomain, to select which folder under it must be secured, and then to type in the login name and password which will be used to access that folder. When a number of people need their own login credentials, there won't be a problem to create several different usernames with access to the same folder. All secured folders will appear with a padlock icon inside the File Manager section, so you will always know where this option is activated. If you want to turn off the security function for any folder, you can disable it from the same section of the Control Panel in which you have enabled it.

If you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company, you will be able to secure any content that you have uploaded through our protection tool. Its interface is as simple and intuitive as that of the Hepsia Control Panel it's a part of, so you shall not need to input any code at any time. You will simply need to select one of the domains/subdomains you have in the web hosting account and to select which folder has to be password-protected - the website’s root folder or some folder below it. Then you can type in the username and the password, which will be stored in encrypted form in our system, and you'll be ready. The protection will be turned on straightaway, so anybody who tries to access the freshly protected folder will have to input the correct login information. When a number of individuals must be able to access exactly the same content, you could set up a separate username for each.
