A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to invalid email addresses under the same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

In case you’ve got a shared web hosting plan with us and you want to activate the catch-all functionality for a given e-mailbox that you have in your account, it’ll take literally just a single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each email address that you have set up under any domain registered in your account. You can select one single address per domain by clicking the corresponding button. This will activate the feature right away, so all email messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button for a second time will turn off the catch-all feature. If you’ve got active email forwarding, our system will show a warning notification and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled easily in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a small-size icon conveniently located directly next to each one of them. With just a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option using the menu that will come into sight. If any of the conditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will inform you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
